The Methods to Replace Hydraulic Oil for Truck Mounted Crane

By identifying the viscosity of hydraulic oil in the truck mounted crane, it is judged whether to replace the hydraulic oil of the crane. The methods of identification are as follows:

1.Invert the hydraulic oil in the vessel: Remove the hydraulic oil from the hydraulic tank of the truck mounted crane and the standard hydraulic oil in two transparent glass bottles of the same size and plug the opening of the bottle. If the bubbles of the tested hydraulic oil in the bottle rise faster than that of the standard oil in the bottle, the viscosity of the hydraulic oil on the truck mounted crane is lower than that of the standard hydraulic oil. Conversely, the viscosity is higher. If the hydraulic bubbles in the two bottles rise at a similar rate, the viscosity is similar and does not require dilution.

2.Glass plate inclination method: Take a clean glass plate, put it horizontally, drop a drop of hydraulic oil taken out from the oil tank of the truck mounted crane on the glass, drop a drop of standard hydraulic oil beside the glass, and tilt the glass plate and observe the flow rate and the flow distance. If the flow rate and the flow distance of the hydraulic oil of the truck mounted crane to be measured are larger than the standard hydraulic oil, the viscosity is higher than that of the standard oil drop.

Note: Generally speaking, working with a truck mounted crane for 2000 hours or about two to three years requires the replacement of hydraulic oil. In theory, the standard of oil replacement is depending on the viscosity and aging degree of the oil, such as whether it is clean, and so on. The actual day-to-day is based on the working conditions combined with experience to determine.

Correct steps to replace hydraulic oil for on-board lifting:
1-First, remove the hydraulic oil from the hydraulic tank of the crane, clean the tank and add the new hydraulic oil.
2-Remove the main circuit, start the engine after idle operation, make the truck mounted crane pump work.
3-By using hydraulic oil, the old oil in the circuit is discharged one by one, until there is new oil flowing out of the main oil return pipe.
4-Finally, connect the return main to the tank of the truck mounted crane, and add the new hydraulic oil to the tank to the specified position.

Explanation: Although the fuel change is a little slow, depending on the specific models and circumstances of the truck mounted crane, but this is enough to do half-day to one day.
