Emergency Measures for Diesel Engine Runaway
Measure 1: Block the intake pipe, if the diesel engine of the truck crane can’t absorb air, it will shut down.
Measure 2: Put the throttle handle in the position without oil supply, open the pressure reducing device, so that the cylinder has no compression force, and then the engine can be stopped.
Measure 3: Loosen the nut of high-pressure oil pipe joint with wrench, so that the diesel engine of the truck mounted crane will not supply oil, and the diesel engine of the truck mounted crane can also be flamed out.
Measure 4. Use high-grade heavy load in driving state, i.e. reduce the engine speed by braking, and then turn off the engine. After the emergency measures are taken to make the diesel engine of the truck mounted crane flameout, the trouble of speeding can be eliminated according to the principle mentioned above.
After flameout, check the causes of vehicle runaway fault, and remove the fault correspondingly, so that the vehicle can recover to normal as soon as possible. Some faults that cannot be solved by themselves shall be sent to the maintenance shop for maintenance.
